Eeva Jokinen born 1975 Curriculum vitae I make small scale production porcelain tableware and unique pieces, bowls and vases. In the recent years I have been interested in rice grain porcelain. The fragility that is often applied to porcelain occurs in my objects in the decoration. I like the dialoque between light and shadow, glaze and body, hole and substance. The rythm of the pierced wall is in my interest. The fragility is decieving, my pieces are durable and usable. They are dishwasher proof and can be used in a microwave oven. Instead of strict form I aim at emotion. To me the light passing through my objects give a sense of peace and harmony one can return to time after time.
