CERAMIC STUDIO POT VIAPORI Ceramic studio Pot Viapori was founded at 1972. Studio is located in Suomenlinna, on an old fortress island just 15 minute journey away from Helsinki main market square. As a working enviroment Suomenlinna is unique. In Pot Viapori, both history and the sea surrounding the island are strong and always present elements. Pot Viapori Ceramic studio offers its artists large and high studio space with lots of natural light. We share four kilns and various other neccesary equipment. The artists working in Pot Viapori are professionally independent, but work together to keep the studio in order and also to have traditional exhibition together at summers tourist season. Thoughout the years there has been 18 regular artists in Pot Viapori. Short time visitors, apprenticeships and students from both Finland and abroad are numerous. Pot Viapori artists today are ceramists Eeva Jokinen, Kika Winter, Soile Paasonen, Johanna Ojanen and glass artist Liisa Ikävalko. Pot Viapori is open for public (free entrance) in summer in July-August for 4-5 weeks and in December at Suomenlinna's traditional christmas festival.
